This 3D Platformer is a game that utilizes a leveling up system, unlocking cool abilities and a rare loot drop system. My brother and I worked on this--I predominantly created most of the art assets and he focused on the programming.

One of the main characters, Clay, is a sorcerer with a positive, strong and optimistic attitude. She practices magic that she learned from her mentor but has grown bored of the routine of every day life. She now ventures out in dangerous dungeons to get strong and find old relics that will shine the light on the history of magic. She has a passion in the history of magic and learns more through old, powerful and forgotten spells that most wouldn't even dream to touch. Where did magic come from?

I started out with sketching in my notebook what she would look like as well as a pose that describes her personality. I also experimented with some equipment ideas.

I created concept art and modeled Clay's staff and shield. At first, the textures were matte placeholders so I can quickly iterate to importing them into the game to get a feel. I've learned that making smaller, quicker iterations over my work results in better and well-thought-out assets.

I began to model Clay and create flat textures to get a feel for her quickly in 3D form.
